Transform in Plask

Adjusting Position, Rotation, and Scale in the Viewport

  1. Selection: Click or drag to select a Bone or Controller.
  2. Gizmo Activation: Once selected, a gizmo will appear. Set the gizmo to the desired transformation type:
    • Position: Press W
    • Rotation: Press E
    • Scale: Press R (Note: This seems to be a typo. Typically, Scale might have a different shortcut.)
  3. Transformation: Drag along one of the gizmo's axes to transform. To save the corresponding transformation, ensure the "Editing" checkbox in the Keyframe section is checked.

  • For Windows:
    • Stretch & Squash: Alt + LMB
    • Pan: Alt + RMB
    • Zoom: Use the mouse wheel
  • For Mac:
    • Stretch & Squash: Option + LMB

Storing and Modifying Motion Data Frame-by-Frame

  1. Editing: After transforming a selected object in the viewport, save the transformation as a keyframe. Refer to the Transform section for details.
  2. Adding Keyframes:
    • Click the "Add Keyframe" button on the middle bar.
    • Press K.
    • Right-click in the Viewport and select "Insert Keyframe".
  3. Selection: Click or drag on the timeline to select a keyframe.
  4. Movement: Drag the selected keyframe to reposition it.
  5. Deletion: To delete a selected keyframe:
    • For Windows: Press Delete or Ctrl+A+D.
    • For Mac: Press Cmd+Backspace or Cmd+A+D.
    • Alternatively, right-click on a keyframe in the Timeline and select "Delete Keyframe".
  6. Copy & Paste: To duplicate a selected keyframe:
    • For Windows: Ctrl+CCtrl+V
    • For Mac: Cmd+CCmd+V

Organizing Animations Using Layers

  1. Adding Layers: Click the designated button to introduce a new layer.
  2. Layer Selection: Clicking on an added layer on the track will activate that layer for editing.
  3. Keyframe Addition: Any modifications to poses or the addition of keyframes will be reflected on the currently active layer.
  4. Muting Layers: Click the eye icon in the Layers track to mute a layer. This will play the animation without reflecting the keyframes of the muted layer.
  5. Layer Deletion: Right-click and select "Delete Layer" to remove a layer. Note: The base layer cannot be deleted.
