  2. Select the Segment: Within the timeline, drag the handles at both ends of the video bar to highlight the specific segment you want to extract. vm_clip

  5. Extraction Process: Plask will begin the motion extraction process. Upon completion, the interface will automatically transition to "Animation" mode.

Tracking options

Extract options When extracting motion from a video, you have several adjustable options:

Tracking Option

This determines how many motions you want to extract from the video.

  • Single: Choose this to extract the motion of one individual from the video. The motion is then added to the Library. This is recommended when there's only one person in the video.
  • Multi: This option allows you to extract motions of multiple individuals from the video. A directory is created, and the exported motion files are added, with each motion representing one person.

For guidelines on capturing multi-person videos, please refer to What’s the best way to capture motion using your camera on Plask? in FAQs.

###T-pose Option: This determines the initial pose in the first frame of the extracted motion.

  • Yes: The initial pose is overwritten in the first keyframe of the extracted motion.
  • No: The motion is added to the library in its original form, without any changes to the first frame.

Foot Lock

The Foot Lock option is designed to minimize foot-sliding:

  • It determines when the feet are in contact with the ground and adjusts the foot and hip positions accordingly.
  • Yes: The extracted motion, with adjusted foot and hip positions, is added to the library.
  • No: The motion is added to the library without any adjustments to the feet or hip.

Note: The Foot Lock option is not available in multi-person tracking mode.
